Navaratri Mahotsavam
🌺 Navaratri Mahotsavam – Nine Nights of Divine Grace
Navaratri Mahotsavam is a sacred nine-night celebration dedicated to Devi, the Divine Mother, representing the triumph of Dharma over Adharma, good over evil, and light over darkness. Each day of Navaratri is an opportunity for devotees to seek the blessings of the Divine Mother, cultivate devotion, and renew their spiritual journey.
At Śri Bhuvanesvari Devi Temple, Reading, with our Guru Sri Avinash Ganesan's guidance, the celebrations bring together puja, abhishekam, archana, cultural programmes, chanting, and traditional customs, creating an atmosphere of devotion and community.
The festival also celebrates the richness of our Sanatana Hindu traditions through Kalasha Sthapanam, Kanya Puja, Sumangali Puja, Chandi Parayanam, Aksharabhyasam, and the beautiful tradition of Bommai Golu.
Bommai Golu, the traditional display of dolls and divine figures, is especially significant as it brings families and communities together to share stories, devotional music, arts, and cultural values with the next generation.
